Job Overview
We are in search of a dedicated and experienced Adjunct Instructor I to deliver high-quality training to armed professionals and responsible citizens. This remote opportunity allows you to engage in teaching various courses from foundational to advanced, as well as instructor-level training, commensurate with your expertise and background. Collaborate with fellow instructors and internal teams to create exceptional learning experiences for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert instruction in a range of designated courses, with an emphasis on specialty courses, adhering to current, approved lesson plans.
- Ensure course objectives and timelines are consistently met during all training sessions and events.
- Foster an optimal learning environment in classroom and range settings by implementing best instructional practices and established procedures.
- Represent the organization at public-facing events such as conferences, trade shows, and sales events.
- Maintain regular on-site attendance and punctuality as a vital aspect of this role.
- Demonstrate adaptability by being willing to work in other functional areas or facilities according to business needs.
- Possible requirement to work overtime or on alternate shifts based on role demands.
- Contribute to and uphold 5S standards for an organized and efficient environment.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ISO procedures ensuring a safe and compliant workspace.
- Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills
- Extensive knowledge of firearms, tactics, and safe handling of various weapons including handguns, rifles, shotguns, and automatic firearms.
- Strong presentation and public speaking abilities, effectively conveying information to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with a knack for performing tasks accurately.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating issues and solutions clearly to management.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks and quickly adapting to changes.
Qualifications
- A High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- A minimum of 5+ years of instructor-level experience in firearm training is preferred.
- Experience as a law enforcement or military instructor is highly desirable.
- Armorer experience is a bonus.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for up to two weeks each month.
